The 3rd Pillar in 2020

In 2020 few changes took place for the 3rd Pillar, Tax deductions ofthe 3rd Pillar 3A remain unchanged compared to 2019, so we remain at:
- CHF 6'826.- Deductible for employees.
- CHF 34'128.- Deductible for the self-employed.
In Geneva, tax deductions for 3rd Pillar B also remain the same:
- Single person: CHF 2'217.-
- Married/registered partners: CHF 3'326.-
- Per child: CHF 907.-
In 2020, the 3rd Pillar technical rate set by FINMA remains at 0.25%.
This rate is certainly low, but new hybrid solutions have appeared among companies that allow companies to have a guaranteed rate and returns ranging from 3% to 6% depending on the solutions. So rest assured, the 3rd Pillar remains a very advantageous investment in 2020.
